March To Art: Community

The Australian National Veterans Arts Museum (ANVAM) is holding an exhibition of veterans art, March to Art: Community, commencing Sunday, 25 March (10am-2pm).

Following the successful inaugural exhibition, A March to Art: Identity, this free exhibition builds on the theme of last years exhibition awarded a Highly Commended in the 2017 VicHealth Awards and showcases the importance of community to veterans and their families.

Curated by Bruce Copland the exhibition brings together work from across Australia including Darwin, Adelaide, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and regional Victoria.

The veteran artists represent service with the Royal Australian Navy, Australian Army and Royal Australian Air Force including those who served in Vietnam, Afghanistan, East Timor and Border Protection operations.

Art works include painting, photography and works on paper.

Veteran artist Sean Burton will feature as artist-in-residence during the exhibition. Veteran artists include:
