Persona: Contemporary Veteran Artists will tour to North Queensland later this year and Brisbane in 2024, with the support of the Queensland Government.

Persona - "the aspect of someones character that is presented to or perceived by others’

Persona is an ongoing photographic series that challenges public and subject perceptions of veterans as artists that began in late 2017. The series documents and supports notions of identity and transition in the growing Australian veteran arts community.

All are contemporary current and former members of Australia’s military services or family members who all identify as veteran artists.

Persona showcases individual portraits of the veteran artist within the context of their space; a making space, a reflective space, a safe space. What commences as a personal curiosity in veteran artists has evolved into a cathartic experience for all involved.

Persona is grounded in relationship that reveal alternative self, identity and truth.
